Our 3rd-5th Self-Managers had a surprise celebration at lunch on Friday, January 2nd! We are so excited to see more and more students applying to be Self-Managers! As a reminder, students can get applications from their classroom teachers. Keep up the good work Little Grizzlies! Good afternoon Helix Parents/Guardians: The Helix School District will be on a half-day schedule tomorrow, dismissing at 12:25 p.m., for teacher inservice. There will be no after school activity bus or reading club. Have a wonderful weekend!
Helix Parents/Guardians - Today, our elementary and middle school students were moved inside during lunch recess as a precautionary measure. One of our propane tanks is leaking a small amount of propane from a valve at the top of the tank. Our propane provider is in route to fix the problem. If the problem is resolved before our last elementary recess, students will be allow to go outside and play.
Helix Parents/Guardians (Students 4th-12th) - The Helix Charter School plans to survey our students grades 4-12 next week. Here is a link to the questions that will be asked - https://5il.co/2ds9m. Participation in the survey is voluntary but greatly appreciated! If you wish your child to not participate in the survey, please contact the school by Thursday, February 1st. Last Friday, our Helix Elementary celebrated our Little Grizzlies at our second Purposeful People assembly of the year! Many students earned awards for working hard practicing gratitude, empathy, and perseverance! Although it was a close call, the 4th grade won the title of "Little Grizzlies School Pride Champions!" Way to go Grizzlies!! Our character trait for February is HONESTY!

Update on afternoon buses 1/17/2024 - Cub (Mark's bus) and Grizzly (Kelsea's bus) will be running on time this afternoon. Pup (Denise's bus) will not be running from Helix this afternoon. Students usually on Pup will be on Wolf (Stephen's bus). Thank you!
Good afternoon - Our Little Grizzlies basketball practice is canceled the afternoon due to changing weather conditions. We will reschedule Little Grizzlies tomorrow, weather permitting. All K-12 Pendleton bus students will be riding home this afternoon on Wolf with Stephen Jensen. Please be cautious this afternoon and travel safely, roads and sidewalks may be slick.
