A BIG THANK YOU to the Helix community, staff, students and Mrs. Miranda Morris for making our Middle School Carnival last evening such a success!! Our elementary students had a blast winning prizes at each of the games. Parents were able to spend time viewing the elementary Lego projects and the middle school science fair. A special thank you to all our parent and community sponsors! The Carnival raised about $1500 for our middle school ASB account. Thank you so much for making the Helix School District such a wonderful place!

Helix Elementary Parents/Guardians: Today is the Carnival Fundraiser!! There will be games, a bounce house, pictures and a 50/50 raffle in the main gym. Pizza dinner, Science Fair, and Lego Contest in the Multi-Purpose room! Join us for an evening of fun for the whole family from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.!

Good morning and happy Thursday! Teachers will be completing parent-teacher conferences tomorrow morning, so Helix Schools will be closed tomorrow, Friday, April 5th. School will resume on Monday, April 8th. If you missed a conference, please reschedule with your child(ren)'s teacher for a time next week. I hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable weekend!

Good afternoon Helix Parents/Guardians: The Helix School Charter School will begin the statewide assessments of students in grades 3-11. These annual tests in ELA, Mathematics, and Science are completed in their regular classroom. This year the state is also asking students from grades 3-11 to complete the Education Equity Development (SEED) Survey. Information about the survey can be found at https://5il.co/2e5ws. If you would like to opt your student out of the SEED survey, please complete OPTION 1 on the form or call the school at 541-457-2175 to select OPTION 2. Our Elementary had a blast at our Purposeful People awards assembly on Wednesday! We are so proud of all our Little Grizzlies for their hard work practicing Honesty and Cooperation! 24 students received awards for their outstanding work! Congratulations to the 3rd grade class for winning the Little Grizzly Class Pride challenge! Another congratulations to Gunnar Hawkins for winning the Wheel-a-thon t-shirt design contest! His design will be on this year's Wheel-a-thon's t-shirts! Great work Little Grizzlies! We hope everyone has a wonderful Spring Break!

Good afternoon Helix Parents/Guardians: The Helix School District will be on a half-day schedule tomorrow, dismissing at 12:25 p.m. marking the end of the 3rd grading quarter. Helix Schools will be closed all next week for spring break! Classes will resume on Monday, April 1st. Please have a safe and wonderful spring break!

Helix Parents/Guardians - The middle school carnival fundraiser is right around the corner on Tuesday, April 9th. Please join use from 5-7 p.m. on 4/9 for a $7 hot dog meal, snow cones, 50/50 raffle, silent auction items, and fun carnival games! The carnival is always a blast for kids of all ages!

Our 3rd-5th Self-Managers had a surprise celebration at lunch on Friday, January 2nd! We are so excited to see more and more students applying to be Self-Managers! As a reminder, students can get applications from their classroom teachers. Keep up the good work Little Grizzlies!
