Dear Helix School District Parents and Helix Community Members,
At the beginning of the school year, the Oregon Department of Education provided additional funding to the Helix School District for six initiatives that have positively affected our school’s ability to provide academic and social emotional support for all students. The Helix School District is asking for your help as we assess our current initiatives and plan for the future.
Please take a few minutes to complete a survey that will be used to gather specific information on our current areas of focus:
- Increase and maintain technology in the classroom (i.e., Chromebooks, PC Desktops, Interactive Boards, and iPads)
- Support for Social Emotional Learning (staffing and curriculum)
- Updating Curriculum (recent ELA adoption)
- Summer school opportunities for all K-8 students and 9-12 students needing credit recovery
- Career and Technical Education (staffing and supplies for the construction and welding classes at Griswold HS)
- Support for Early Intervention and High School On-Track (staffing and curriculum)
- Staff training specific to increasing student learning and performance
The survey will also gather information on how effectively the Helix School District engages with our stakeholders, which includes our students, staff, parents/guardians, and community.
