Kindergarten through fifth grade students stand outside the Bracher barn and listen to Judy Bracher give directions about the Harvest Party

This past week, our kindergarten through fifth-grade students headed to Bracher Farm for their annual harvest party! This year marked the 19th year of this beloved Helix tradition, and our students had an amazing time celebrating the season with a day full of fall fun.

We are incredibly grateful that the Bracher family continues to welcome our students to their farm year after year. This special tradition gives our students the opportunity to make lasting memories while enjoying the sights, sounds, and activities of the fall season.

There was something fun for everyone! Students made homemade apple cider using an original apple press that traveled over the Oregon Trail more than 100 years ago, enjoyed a hayride, roasted s’mores, chose a pumpkin to take home, and played fall-themed games. They also had the opportunity to get their faces painted, bounce in the bounce houses, and create their own scarecrows and spiders at the crafting tables!

A huge thank-you to the Bracher family for generously sharing their farm, volunteering their time, and organizing so many wonderful activities for our students to enjoy. Your kindness and generosity have helped create a tradition that our students look forward to year after year!

We would also like to extend our appreciation to all of our high school volunteers who came out to help run the activity stations and make the day such a success. Your time, enthusiasm, and willingness to help make a difference in the lives of our younger students.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this year's harvest party so memorable! We are so fortunate to have such a wonderful school community that comes together to create these special experiences for our students. Here's to another amazing year of fall fun at Bracher Farm!
