Dear Parents,

As our school year comes to an end, there are a couple of big events I would like to inform you of.

Senior graduation will be on Sunday, May 24th at noon, in the new gym. However, due to Phase 1 guidelines, only the seniors and two of their guests can attend. The graduation ceremony will be recorded and streamed via YouTube live and Facebook live. Links to those sites will be made available a day or two before the event on the Helix School webpage, Helix SD and Helix Community Facebook pages. A huge thanks to the Pendleton First Assembly of God Church (Becky and Zach) for their assistance in this endeavor. After the graduation ceremony, the seniors will be parading through Helix via Bracher’s tractor and hay wagon. Come out, wave and help them celebrate this awesome achievement.

On Tuesday, May 26th we will be asking for parents to come to the Helix School between the hours of 9:00am and 3:00pm to drop off all remaining assignments and check their Chromebooks in. Please enter from the front of the school and practice social distancing.

I hope this informs you of the direction we will be taking during this unprecedented time in education. Please continue to check the Helix School District Website and Helix School District Facebook page for updates or more info. Feel free to contact me via email or voicemail and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Stay healthy and I hope to see you soon.
