Contact me with questions or concerns. Thanks, Darrick Cope, Superintendent
Parents, Good evening. Info on 4th quarter grades and report cards is posted on the Helix School webpage, Helix School FB and Helix Community FB pages. Have a great summer!! Thanks, Darrick Cope
Since public schools in Oregon will be closed to students for the remainder of the school year, all classes will continue via Distance Learning. Please use packets, email, Google Classroom, Zoom, etc., to continue your student's learning and contact teachers if help is needed.
During the school closure, the Helix teachers have scheduled office hours that are dedicated to presenting lessons, grading assignments, contacting students/parents, monitoring student progress, etc. To see these times go to Helpful Links on the school web site. Thanks, Mr. Cope
Thanks for all those who picked up packets and Chromebooks today. We only have 15 packets left, which will be mailed. Teachers will give you further Phase 2 info when they call you on Thursday and Friday for Parent Teacher Conferences. Call the office for more info. Thanks.
Parent teacher conferences scheduled for Thursday, April 2nd (3:30-8:00pm) and Friday, April 3rd will be conducted via phone during the COVID-19 school closures. Teachers should have set a conference date/time with you prior to Spring Break. If you do not have a scheduled conference or do not remember what day or time, it is, please email your child’s teacher. Teachers will call you at your scheduled time and discuss third quarter grades and any diagnostic reports they may have. Those documents should have been mailed to you a few weeks ago. Please have those to refer to during your PTC.
If students are having issues opening a Google Document, be sure they are logged into Google Acct or are in their Google Classroom before attempting to open. Feel free to email teachers with questions about the assignments, but only through Friday, March 20th. Thanks, Mr Cope
In an attempt to have the least amount of impact on student learning, the Helix staff have generated links to supplemental materials for student in K-12. To access these materials, go to the Helix web page, Helpful Links, Coronavirus Supplemental Assignments. Thanks, Mr. Cope
