A huge thanks to Dr. Derek Earl and his staff from Family Health Association in Hermiston for taking the time to conduct ImPACT concussion tests and sports physicals for our students on Tuesday evening. The ImPACT test has two primary uses: before the onset of an activity, a baseline test is conducted to measure the athlete's performance baseline. Baseline test are taken every other year. In the event of an injury, a post-injury test is administered and compared to the baseline. The resulting objective data is then evaluated by a trained ImPACT Consultant (Dr. Earl) and a plan is created to track a student's safe return to activity.
